Spiritual SuperPals (SSP) Spotlight: Sleepy Moon Farm

I continue to be inspired by the "Spiritual SuperPals" that I’ve known or am encountering on my own spiritual journey. It has been a dream of mine to share even more about them so you, too, can learn of their respective missions, passions and perspectives, and be just as inspired as I am.
As a new semi-regular feature right here in The FireBall, I’ll be peeking behind the curtain of some of them in the coming weeks, and then taking an even deeper dive with them and their work in other social media spaces as well. I hope you’ll join me in exploring and learning! Some you may know a bit about from some of my previous collaborations with them, and some are newer discoveries/connections/reconnections that I hope will lead to future collaborations!
Our first spotlight this week is one of those “reconnections” I recently shared with: my longtime friend Monica Haritan. Monica manages a unique, special spiritual space in Russell, Pennsylvania called Sleepy Moon Farm. Sleepy Moon Farm is a Holistic Wellness place for “animal and human-kind", where peace, healing and connection are revealed and remembered through custom-designed experiences and activities with the delightful animals she houses at the Farm, with clients’ respective fur babies or pals, or through contact with clients’ animal loved ones in spirit.
Monica and I met nearly 40 years ago, when I roomed with her brother Tim (who, along with his wonderful wife Andrea, are still very dear to me) in college. On a recent trip to Washington D.C., Monica reached out to me via social media to see if we might grab a few moments together when she came to visit the landmark mural that has made my DC home a tourist attraction (more on that in the future). After the long hugs and time-passage marveling, Monica shared some details of her life's passion project, which is truly amazing. We were both in awe of how aligned our spiritual paths had become through the years.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Monica was surrounded by animal companions and the visual and performing arts. After studying Architectural and Interior Design, and working in the architectural field for over 10 years, she found her way to a 180 acre farm in Northwestern Pennsylvania - a serene place deeply rooted with ancestral energies.
Drawn to the night sky and the phases of the moon, Sleepy Moon Farm was born. This is where Monica began her near 30 years of education in holistic wellness and energy work for both animal companions and humans, hence, Sleepy Moon Farm became a space dedicated to the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being for both and for all
.I can't wait to make my own visit to Sleepy Moon Farm and soak up the peace and healing of its wonderful setting, animal friends, and, most especially, its wonderful proprietor!
