Is "Spring" in YOUR Step?

Greetings, Spiritual SPINners!

In case I haven’t said it a gazillion times, Spring is my very favorite season of year! I love opening the windows and feeling the breath of Springtime breezes blow through the house. I love the cacophony of birdsong greeting me in the morning as the dawn turns the crystal clear skies from midnight to royal blue. I love the cottony white clouds billowing across the sky in a delightful show of shapes that morph from animals to buildings, cars to trees, flowers to people and anything else our Divine Mind can imagine.

I love the feeling of refreshment and renewal that all of these experiences in this sacred season evoke for me. Each year I seek to awaken from the sometimes lumbering slumber of winter by breathing in that wonderful feeling of fresh, hopeful renewal, and breathing out energized creativity and inspiration. These feelings of renewal and inspiration help reveal a “WellSPRING” of joy and delight in my life that I can celebrate, and share with my fellow travelers in the Universe.

That’s not to say that I always reach this internal “Shangri-La” just because the season has changed. Or more accurately, that I always remember this internal “Shangri-La.” Sometimes I flat out refuse its taps and whispers, and its reminders that it is always within me to access. Sometimes I forget that I can drink from that energizing and awakening WellSPRING at ANY time and ANY place, regardless of season or circumstance.

But then I catch the whiff of a blooming lilac, or hear the bass beat of a disco tune coming out of a newly-open convertible sitting a the light, or see the lively liberation of people walking down the street on the first “shorts weather” day with a true “Spring in their step.” And I remember that life is good and beautiful, and that it is always my choice to experience it as good and beautiful, regardless of the season or circumstance. Spring is the great reminder that we are the planter of our own garden, the chef at our own feast, and the author of our own story.

So what seeds are you planting and cultivating for your beautiful and bountiful garden? What tasty and hearty treats are you cooking up for your delicious and nourishing feast? What unusual and exciting adventures are you imagining for your fascinating and triumphant story?

Dive into that WellSPRING ... and remember!
